My Best HOLI

Holi: the colourful festival. It brings out the hidden kid, childishness within us and sometimes the devil present inside also. Yes, this is one of the unique festivals that has got all the happiest ingredients in it and sparks at regular intervals of time for the joy and happiness.

Holi- the festival which amazes and ignites the smiles on every individual’s face and heart. Once I got a chance to celebrate this holi fest with the unknown place and with the unknown peoples. For couple of days I had been deputed to north Karnataka for work. And I am coming back from the office after completing the allocated work. As the day is Saturday, I left the office in the afternoon. I got some updates from the collegues that the holi festival has got some different sort of craze here. So they give me a caution to be alert if someone attacks you with the colours. It was actually an invitation for me at that moment as I had a camera in my back already. So this going to be a perfect stage to click some colours and enjoy my rest of the hours in this place.

And believe that was the best experience of Holi till date, the celebration is not between the families, houses, roads or the areas. It’s completely open and the whole city was invited to jump in the pool of colours. Almost 500 to 700 people were celebrating this holi with colours. And there is no castism, regionalism and there is no upper class or a lower class. All are invited and welcomed with to the huge street where they indulge whole heartedly with the colours.

As they arranged in quite a good way with some the big business persons, big families has spend their buck on this celebration where I could find the 10-12 water tankers also. And the washed water will lead to the nearest gardens and to the farming land. It really amazes me for the idea that they invested to make this unique festival even more economically and environment friendly.

And I completely immersed, indulged and involved with the colours. And I just revisited to my childhood type of celebration and enjoyed like the kids who are celebrating their first holi. This is how the festival brings out the unity in diversity and makes more sense. And make everyone to fall in LOVE with colours, Colours for life. 🙂
