Instameet Bangalore!

And it’s OYO ROOMS who take prestigious step to organize the first Instameet in Namma Bangalore. As instagram has took a giant leap in the social media and across the people’s time. In some sense it is connecting the likeminded souls who are passionate about their pictures, selfies, captures and many more. So far I was watching some unseen streets of other cities through InstaMeet’s, but this time its OYO ROOMS has made it possible to organize an event in Bangalore to meet the likeminded souls in real and explore the beautiful street as well.

According to the brief information in the mail we were kicked off from OYO’s red carpet, MG Road. Towards pottery town as many of the registered enthusiasts hasn’t turned up on a Sunday morning, we made small groups in between us and moved towards the hit place on the vehicles of the fellow instagammers. Though we reached late for the place, hope any of us never missed anything in the place I guess. 🙂

As seen the rest:)

And the Showtime begins as everyone opens their weapons and stared shooting the pots, clays, diyas, designs, colors, peoples, streets and many more. While capturing the pictures we tried to connect with those makers by asking the details, history about the place and their work. The people in the pottery are really co-operative and really they showed the epitome of co-operation to all our mates, not only the people but also the dogs and kittens were showed their keen towards us by posing for some pictures.

My Favorite City..

It takes few seconds for many of us to decide which is our favorite city, right??? But I am for that category, Yes, I do think if the question is about dream city. But no second thought for my favorite is concerned. And it’s undoubtedly the city which firmed in my heart and mind is my home town “Tumakuru”. Tumakuru, although located close to the famous cities in south India like Bangalore and Mysore. Tumakuru is yet to be completely explored. One has to DRIVE passionately to DESIGN the CONNECTIVITY to this unexplored place. 🙂

In spite of looking into other’s plate I always cherished to enjoy what I have at the moment. May be this is the reason that made me to consider my city as my favorite city as well I guess.  Tumakuru is really a beautiful place. So I decided to check out my own, in other terms I am rediscovering this land. This place is very near and neighboring city to IT hub of India [Bangalore].

Though it does not have any history of kingdoms and rulers. But it weighs a lot when it comes to the places that it has, and those places must not be missed. Starting from Siddaganga Mata, Namada chilume, Devarayana Durga, Shivagange, Basdi betta and many more. All these places are abundance of rich flora and fauna.  And few places back to the ages of the Ramayana, It is believed that Lord Rama shot his arrow to make a fountain(CHILUME) of water in the middle of the dense forest when he struggled to find water to put his NAMA (THILAKA) and Hence the place name NAMADA CHILUME . Like this each one has got unique identity with the history. This surely DRIVES anyone crazy and Impressive. 🙂

The DESIGN of this city is neatly matched and mattered as it is located In such a troposphere weather always mesmerizes with cool breeze to kick your day, chilled zesty sun in the afternoon and soothing air to sign off a day. 🙂

IMG_20151129_111004
Stunning view from atop the hill [Basdi Betta], Tumakuru.
And the CONNECTIVITY is brilliantly established as we are just 70 kms away from Bangalore. The footprints of Bangalore to Pune NH4 are here. Brilliant Highway to DRIVE everyone crazy. And this is how it connects from South part of the people towards North of the state. The connection is here already only thing is that it has to enfold in a right way to attract people to make better visiting spots unlike the other cities. 🙂

Well, I could not stop admiring the calmness, luxury, lifestyle, cost of living, value of the city and add-ons it has. And it made a promise to myself to discover the secrets it has and many other cities in the south India as well. 🙂

Be Responsible…

Recently I was invited for a house warming ceremony of my senior colleague. As it was unfortunately fallen on a working day, I was made to ping their new palace in the evening. Yeah, it’s his dream house, where he has put his hard earned soul into it. He’s been mumbling very habitually during the free time of our work. As I went in the evening to see his dream outcome, I made only to intellect the waste’s of food and empty water bottles. The newly built house couldn’t make the big impression as these wastes were ruling his palace like anything. We were experiencing the same things in many occasions, house may be new, may be his dream. But it fails grasp the attraction in the first look as that portray something in the scenario that has created because of the house warming ceremony event. 😦

Well, this is the same sort of circumstances which is going to happen to us in the near future or already happening to us?? If we visit any historical places, beautiful places etc.. Usually we visit these places to get rid ourselves from daily working chaos. But if we find the things like that means… Who is responsible for that? It’s not completely my colleague’s responsibility but it’s equally shared by the guests who involved in the ceremony event.  Either he could’ve made a proper arrangements or guests could’ve behaved wisely to not to throw the wastes everywhere.

Unlike many other countries, India is the most beautiful and rich in heritage country, where we were proud of having such a beautiful places, monuments, temples, hills, waterfalls etc. though we already facing few problems to maintain our heritage because of fast growing population, increase in the pollution and global warming. Its good time to do good to preserve the rich diversity and heritage of our country. Let’s take a pledge to preserve this beauty to our next generation also, agree right?? So I will shoot few steps to which are NOT to do in any of places. 🙂

: Avoid going tours and trips on bikes, as it may thrills you in the initial days, but it back fires by increasing global pollution. Why can’t you travel together?? And it’s fits for your budget too… Think…

: Do not try to “leave your mark” / love stories” on the places you visit. Yes, I have seen many monuments, historical places and temples where the visitors have scripted their names or their lover names on the beautiful architectures and on the stone sculptures. Sometimes it makes visitors to forget where they are?  Please avoid these sorts of activities.

DSC03923
See the names and scripts on the walls of historical stone architecture. 😦

: Avoid leaving your old clothes that are used while swimming or enjoying the purity of water that falls from many heights. It looks like mini garbage to the next visitors. So make sure to not to threw any clothes and other stuffs.

: Avoid throwing food, food packets and water bottles in the places you visit. It really causes a bad impression and tries to carry your own unique bottle and boxes for the tourist spots or to anywhere. 🙂

: Most important. Don’t litter anywhere. The most common this that is happening here is wherever people saw this sign-board’s of “ Do not litter here “ and “ Do not Urinate here” they started doing that. 😛  For heaven sake don’t do these things and try to keep the places clean and healthy. 🙂

These things can be achieved by joining the hands together. Yes, let’s do it and become a responsible human and as well as a responsible tourist to maintain the legacy of our motherland. In spite of the decline of many number of tourist places in India just because of improper maintenances. It’s really heartening to see if we, the younger generation has to come-up with an interest and keen to take this responsibility. 🙂

UTSAVA Rock Garden

Well, as and when I heard my first workplace as a banker in Haveri, Karnataka. I was very keen to sentinel the good places in and around the city. Where Utsava rock garden stands tall from the rest from the major attractions of the city. 🙂

And the day has arrived where I joined my colleague and his childhood friend who were brought in the same city. And it’s become an easy task for me to seize the striking place of the city. Well, Utsava rock garden is located just 40 kms from haveri towards Hubli. And it is exactly by the side of the highway NH4 (Bangalore to Pune). And there are many buses are available to the place, so it may trouble the new-visitors to locate it.

It’s around 2pm with some bright sunshine; Utsava rock garden invites us to the garden. As soon as we enter the garden, it showcases their prestigious award that has been registered. Not one or two exactly 8 Guinness awards. Definitely it has made me to expect a lot from this, yet it added cherry on the cake for picking a perfect place in the city to mark my favorite activities. And the excitement peaks as I move further in the garden. Somewhere I heard the song of Dr. Rajkumar and it made me to enter it with more gracefully. 🙂

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The entrance section is allocated to a pond where at the centre the legend Dr.rajkumar statue has been installed and 24/7 his songs going to peep in the part. And cave like room which officially welcomes the Utsava rock garden, which consists of God/Goddess structure in the form of a tree which spread over meters long. And it famed with statues, designs and different architectures. This will really stuns me a little as we from the south part of city. And we are less aware of the lifestyle and culture of North Karnataka. 🙂

Outlook of the VILLAGE!

Where-ever you spread your eyes in Utsava rock garden; it is soaked with the epitome of culture, tradition and lifestyle of North Karnataka. The idea of Utsava rock garden is very clear as they wanted to show the lifestyle and exhibit how the LIFE was at that era. And they did it absolutely well by presenting in the form street where we are going to find all sorts of people classified according to their work, caste and tradition which they followed. The richness in the life, the purity in the culture is really appreciated. 🙂

It feels like s museum containing the monumental works of art, masterpieces of paintings, and classical paintings. And we got to see wide variety of the culture of all the forms that is at the edge of its extinct. Only thing that is needed is serenity of understand the values behind it and the stamina to walk, walk and walk till you cease the beauty of Utsava rock garden. 🙂

For Laundry

All the paintings, sculptures and designs are kept in respective houses with respect to their lifestyle and the working culture. We are made to see how the fairs and festivals were happening in those times.  Really that figures speaks volumes about the tradition, culture and lifestyle of the north Karnataka or it can be rephrased now it has Ancient North Karnataka. Our eyebrows will raise very often as we imagine how the routine has changed from this to the one we currently exist.
As we move further and we almost reached the end part of Utsava rock garden, we will see some unique birds, white rats and some more interesting creatures. And the last but not from the list, there is boating as well in the Utsava rock garden, so everyone can rejuvenate the pure culture and tradition of the places that they have sensed. 🙂

Madikeri: Paradise on earth

According to me the best way to relax is to go for a trip to a place which is full of greenery, free from pollution and which can bring calmness to our mind, So in our leisure time of our busy life we should definitely go for a journey, when i heard the word ‘Journey’ the first thing that strikes mind is hill stations. Yes then we planned for a trip to Madikeri, It is located on the southern part of Karnataka, usually named for its beautiful hill stations, temples and water falls across the city.

Yes, its a journey to Madikeri and we went to the most beautiful temple “Golden Temple”  It’s the largest Tibetan Settlement in Southern India and monastery locally called “Golden Temple”, in Bylakuppe, near Kushal Nagar, Madikeri. After a sumptuous breakfast we set off our sojourn to Golden Temple,

During this journey we came across some good sceneries which are feast to eyes & can not be found in any other part of India, the major attraction in that temple is the Temple and the people around there. When we entered the temple we find many saints were praying and some were in meditation with lord Buddha, We took some blessings with those saints and enjoyed the inner beauty of the temple, it was a spectacular sight of glittering designs, after taking some snaps  & spending some time in the temple, we came outside and we can shop for Tibetan handicrafts, decorative and religious items.

As it is just one day trip we set off on the last leg of our trip to Omkareshwara Temple, It is a beautiful temple which located In the middle of Madikeri, built in a Mohammedan style, which is famous for its beauty its worth watching. we enjoyed our time there. by seeing the beauty of these temples, i was really dumb founded. I never saw such wonderful temples and sights.

The ambiance over there was so pleasing that i didn’t feel like leaving the place. then we boarded to our bus and came back to our place after a day long sojourn to madikeri.

this gives me pleasure and reinforced my Activeness. Its a place which can bewitch you and yet can make you bow to its charms 🙂

A Place to Remember

Located in the southern district of Karnataka , Mandaragiri Hill, Kyathsandra, Tumkur , well it is not touted to be a the famous religious place, but it is worth a visit

,152

I am not religious, but I am attracted to the mysticism of religion, the spiritual aspect of Jains made me to visit this place! this is relatively less crowded and offers an extremely peaceful sojourn away from the mad rush of city life.

24 After I reached this place with friends, We spent some time with exploring the place and getting to know the local there. After a good exploration, We went ahead to discover the Jain temple which is just below the Mandaragiri hill, The temple had a mesmerizing view.

26

The pathway that leads to the hill has some 400 steps above the ground level. we went ahead to immerse ourself to climb the hill, Much to my surprise, the view was Awesome and created a vibrant in me , such an ecstatic feeling to express, it made me to feel like a WOW! After the rejuvenating feeling I opened my camera and started exploring the different view of the hill and the city from there, after capturing few memories I feel little tired so we took some rest and came back in the evening! It was really refreshing indeed,

it made our body, mind and soul rejuvenated. Now we are back home with a new set of memories to rejoice over 🙂
